Tracy Gugel, Clean Hydrogen, New York
Tracy Gugel is founder at Infinite Hydrogen, Inc. and lives in Rochester, New York.
Why is clean energy important to you? I care deeply for our planet, our animals, humans and species. The problem all stems from humans compounding our pollution (CO2 & toxic oxides) with our need for energy. The solution is to improve all processes with a clean zero-carbon energy carrier.
What’s your proudest accomplishment in clean energy? Having my mom and dad say they are proud of me.
What did you do before entering clean energy? I covered positive events in a small community which brought people together through videos, photos and storytelling.
How did you first get introduced to clean energy? Through my dad, William C. Knapp. He is the inventor of a patented electrochemical catalyst, which upcycles hydrogen and energy efficiently, cleanly by using dissolved aqueous hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in wastewater.
How does clean energy impact your community? A clean energy hub with fuels cells. Plug Power is happening! Very exciting!
What is something you wish more people knew about your job? We need to do to provide clean zero-carbon emissions energy solutions for planet earth.
Why should Congress invest in clean energy jobs, not fossil fuel jobs? We have a limited window of time to clean up our CO2 emissions. We will need everything and everyone to collaborate. We need to act now. Today. Please.
