Why is clean energy important to you? It is important because it helps promote a positive effect on the environment and pollution. It shows that with certain changes, we can sustain our world at a longer rate.
What's a memorable clean energy project you’ve worked on? Joining the SOLV Energy team and continuing to grow and be acknowledged for my contributions within the company.
What did you do prior to working in clean energy? Before working in Clean Energy, I worked as a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist with Northrop Grumman where I Reviewed Quotes, negotiated prices, and selected/recommended sources to to different programs.
How did you first get introduced to clean energy? I have always known about Clean Energy and I have always tried to do my part in regards to promoting environmentally safe initiatives. It wasn't until about 4-5 years ago that I started thinking of a career change and wanting to get more involved through my everyday work.
What do you wish more people knew about the clean energy industry? I wish people knew how much the work that I do positively effects our communities and the amount of power our systems are generating through various areas around the country.
What does your job mean to you and your family? My job is something that can fulfill me personally, economically, socially, and professionally.
How is clean energy helping your community / state? It allows us to generate the energy we need without the greenhouse gas emissions and negative environmental effects that come with fossil fuels, in turn helping to reduce climate change.
Why should congress invest in clean energy jobs? They should invest because these clean energy jobs will continue to provide reliable, and affordable power to help families, businesses and communities save money. Fossil fuel jobs will only assist with releasing large numbers of pollutants into the atmosphere, creating pollution levels.
