Wednesday, November 15
WORKER SPOTLIGHT (brought to you by CE4AEF’s Faces of Clean Energy program)
For Veterans Day, we celebrate two veterans who now fight for clean energy. LaTisha Phillips and Aaron Apmann of Onyx Renewable Partners, a leading renewable energy developer from Blackstone Energy Partners.
LaTisha transitioned to clean energy last year, after serving in the U.S. Army for 20 years. She is now the Director of Corporate and Public Affairs at Onyx.
“Being a member of the sustainability community makes me part of the solution to ensure that our planet is a better, cleaner place for future generations,” she told CE4AEF.
Apmann, meanwhile, transitioned to clean energy in 2015, after serving in the U.S. Navy. Now, he is an Associate Projects Manager at Onyx.
He told CE4AEF, “There is room for everyone in clean energy, especially those who’ve served this country. And with President Biden’s Affordable Clean Energy Plan, more jobs are being created, putting veterans in even higher demand.”
