WORKER SPOTLIGHT (via CE4AEF’s #FacesofCleanEnergy program)

Texas’s Leslie Maldonando is a completions engineer at Fervo Energy, where she supports engineering and supply chain management for the company’s geothermal well work.

Leslie began her career as a drilling engineer in the oil and gas industry, but she pivoted. “Clean energy is the opportunity to improve our energy status-quo,” she said via CE4AEF’s Faces of Clean Energy

“The ability to implement oil and gas industry practices to the geothermal industry is an innovation that will increase the accessibility and resources available,” she said.

“[This] is an investment I want to continue making for the wellbeing of future generations.”

What is your proudest accomplishment in clean energy? The ability to implement oil and gas industry practices to the geothermal industry is an innovation that will increase the accessibility and resources available to both the renewable and non-renewable sectors. This is a stepping stone to help accelerate the transition from non-renewable to renewable resources that I believe is the main accomplishment of our goal as a company.

What did you do before entering clean energy?Drilling Engineer in the oil and gas industry.”
