Why is clean energy important to you? For me, clean energy is important for several reasons. Firstly, I believe in our collective responsibility to safeguard our planet for future generations. On a personal level, supporting clean energy resonates with my values of environmental stewardship and social responsibility. I am driven to contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future for our communities and future generations. Additionally, clean energy offers numerous societal benefits, including job creation, economic growth, and enhanced energy security. Investing in clean energy technologies also promotes innovation and drives sustainable development.

What's a memorable clean energy project you’ve worked on? One of the most memorable clean energy projects I participated in involved a mass dispatch to assess the health and functionality of chargers across various states in the US. We found a high percentage of chargers that were either damaged, disconnected from the network, powered off, inoperable, or non-existent. This was alarming, as EV drivers depend on accurate data to ensure they can charge their vehicles safely and return home to their families. It was an eye-opening experience to witness such a significant gap between the perceived and actual status of chargers in the field.

What did you do prior to working in clean energy? Why did you transition to the clean energy industry? Before joining the EVSE industry, I worked in various fields, including electrical labor, banking, and operating my own restaurants. My shift to the EV electrification sector in 2021 was driven by my firsthand experiences as an EV driver. I frequently faced difficulties in locating charging stations for my electric vehicle, a stark contrast to the abundant availability of gas stations When I discovered an opportunity at ChargerHelp, it seemed like the perfect fit for me. I believed it was where I could leverage all the skills I've acquired throughout my career to significantly impact the company and the growing industry. I am excited about the potential of this industry and the opportunity to contribute positively to the clean energy ecosystem. I look forward to helping shape a better future for my family, fellow EV drivers, and the broader clean energy sector.

What do you wish more people knew about the clean energy industry? I believe it's crucial to educate more students about the opportunities in the clean energy sector. Many are unaware that owning and operating an EV is more cost-effective than commonly perceived. EVs are not only safer but also more economical to maintain over the long term. Additionally, the industry offers numerous opportunities for students to make significant impacts in their communities, among their families, and on the future.

Why should congress invest in clean energy jobs? I believe Congress should invest in the Clean Energy sector due to the high demand and the limited funds and resources currently available. Meeting the needs of the EV charging infrastructure requires substantial work and investment. Additionally, a significant labor force is necessary to maintain the 97% uptime standard for chargers across all states, ensuring reliable access to EV charging facilities.

Is there anything else you’d like to share? I encourage everyone to research and learn about the EV industry and to ask questions. Understand where you can support and make a difference in the clean energy ecosystem. Whatever skills you possess, there is a need for them. Start by looking, researching, and asking questions. Remember, this is a young industry, and we are eager to grow!
