Why is clean energy important to you? Clean energy is important to me, because it's literally saving Earth.
What’s your proudest accomplishment in clean energy? My proudest accomplishment in Clean Energy is spreading the knowledge of it through kids in middle/high school. In doing so, it gives kids a different career path, which they may not know exists. Overall, making the world a better place.
What did you do before entering clean energy? I played football.
When were you first introduced to clean energy? I first got introduced to clean energy when SOLV (SRE) built AL Solar in my hometown Lafayette, AL in 2017.
What should more people know about your role? That the Solar Industry has the same jobs available as other industries.
How does clean energy impact your community? Clean energy is helping my community & state through the Chamber's County Stem Program. This program gives kids the early involvement of clean energy with different curriculums, activities, & events. SOLV has played a large role in making this all possible. I actually attend the majority of the events in my community to support the kids. It's been amazing to watch them grow their knowledge of Clean Energy.
What does clean energy mean to you and your family? Solar has become day & night for me over the years. Actually performing O&M/EPC tasks & later managing projects on both spectrums, has given me the ability to learn & adapt fast. My job has given me the ability to express who I am and my family supports me beyond measure. My family has attended many solar community events with me over the years.
Why should Congress invest in clean energy jobs, not fossil fuel jobs? Fossil fuels cause pollution, which is the main contributory factor to global warming experienced by Earth today. We all know Earth's biggest fear is global warming. Scientists have done plenty of research and this is how Earth is supposed to be destroyed. Why not help Earth, by removing fossil fuels & replacing them with Clean Energy. With doing so, it helps Earth combat the greenhouse effect & provides Earth with lower emissions of CO2. Therefore, we as humans can breathe effortlessly, stay cool, & create a comfortable world for generations in the future.
