Clean Energy Spotlight: Jim Pureka

This week’s #cleanenergyspotlight is Jim Purekal. He’s a Marine veteran and policy director with Advanced Energy United, a #cleanenergy nonprofit.

Jim spent 20 years in the Marine Corps, where he was a helicopter pilot and officer. Then, he joined SunPower’s policy and development team, with help from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes program.

As a vet, Jim knows #cleanenergy is vital for #energysecurity. “Clean energy provides the pathway to true independence,”  he told CE4AEF. “Clean energy can be the foundation for a vibrant and enduring economy, providing high-paying jobs for millions of Americans for the foreseeable future.”
