California Funds Electric Buses

Anaheim’s getting $790,000 in federal funds to roll out "Night Owl," a late-night bus service for workers near Disneyland and the Platinum Triangle. The buses will run from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., covering a transit gap for folks on night shifts. Some of the funds will also go toward expanding electric buses, helping Anaheim push for cleaner transportation.

Solar Companies Support Hurricane Helene Relief

After Hurricane Helene, solar companies and nonprofits stepped in with microgrids and solar generators for Western North Carolina. Groups like Footprint Project and NC Sustainable Energy are bringing clean power, water, and supplies to areas with blocked roads. The effort’s making sure communities get what they need while cutting emissions along the way.

Pennsylvania Innovates Data Center Cooling Tech

Advanced Cooling Technologies is working with Intel and Purdue on a project to cool data centers more efficiently. With a $1.1 million grant from the Department of Energy, the goal is to cut cooling energy use below 5% of a center’s total load.

Energy Storage Surges Across U.S. Markets

Energy storage installations hit 10.5 GWh this past quarter, up 86% from last year. Utility-scale projects in California, Arizona, and Texas are leading the charge, adding nearly 10,000 MWh. Delaware Expands EV Truck Chargers Project

Delaware got $14.3 million to install new electric vehicle (EV) chargers along I-95, focused on electric trucks. The plan includes fast and ultra-fast chargers, aiming to make overnight charging easier.

Farmer Deploys Solar with Sheep 

Illinois farmer Trent Gerlach wasn’t a fan of a solar farm on his land—until he found a way to make it work. Now, with 500 sheep, he manages vegetation around a 100 MW solar project, keeping things green and low-maintenance.
