New York County Debuts Solar EV Charger

Ulster County, New York installed a solar-powered, off-grid electric vehicle (EV) charger, soon moving to the Ashokan Rail Trail. This mobile unit provides free charging and can assist in emergencies, boosting local clean energy adoption.

Minnesota Dam Doubles Clean Energy Output

Byllesby Dam in Cannon Falls, Minnesota got a $47M upgrade, doubling its clean energy production beyond the county’s needs. New turbines also improve downstream safety, with federal backing ensuring affordable and reliable power for the future.

Texas Secures $5.7B for EVs 

Texas received $5.7 billion in federal funding, with $3B for highways and $201M for air quality projects. Electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure gained $86M to improve access across the state as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law rollout over the next four years.

New Library Hosts Nation's Largest EV Station

Mount Vernon’s new $61M library features 78 electric vehicle (EV) charging ports, the largest public EV station in the U.S.! Funded by a $12.5M grant, the project also includes a conference center, STEM hub, and parking. Designed with energy efficiency in mind, the library uses 80% less energy than its 1950s predecessor.

Kansas Expands EV Network with 9 New Chargers

Gov. Laura Kelly announced $6.8M in federal funding for nine fast-charging stations across Kansas. The chargers will be installed every 50 miles along major routes, with private investment pushing the project’s total value beyond $9M.

DOE Funds Major Transmission Projects for Clean Energy

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) allocated $1.5B to transmission expansions, including a 3-GW line from Texas to the Southeast. Projects will add 7.1 GW, easing grid congestion and expanding clean energy access.
